Mojave, CA – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified 93-year-old Jay Edward Easttom of California City as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle collision involving a big rig on the evening of Wednesday, March 12, 2025, according to KBAK.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident occurred around 7:50 PM on northbound Highway 14, south of Pine Tree Canyon Road.

Wrongful Death Claims
Losing a loved one in a traffic accident is devastating, and the pain can be made worse by the financial strain that often follows. Medical bills, funeral costs, and the loss of income to support dependents of the deceased can leave families struggling. Filing a Wrongful Death claim against those responsible can provide compensation to help with these expenses.
