Carmichael, CA – On the evening of Wednesday, March 5, 2025, a woman in her 40s suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Marconi Avenue, according to FOX40.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred around 6:30 PM on the 4900 block of Marconi Avenue. The pedestrian was crossing south across the westbound lanes when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a woman in her 60s.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and it remains unclear whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the collision. CHP officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
