Milpitas, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 25, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 680 resulted in at least one fatality, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 2:04 PM near the Calaveras Road off-ramp on southbound Interstate 680.
A sedan and a silver pickup truck were involved in the crash, with the pickup overturning and landing on its roof against a wall. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and a SigAlert was issued due to multiple lanes being blocked. A Honda Civic was also reported in the center divide, though the occupant was not injured.
Authorities confirmed that at least one person died in the crash, with the coroner being called to the scene at 2:51 PM. Tow trucks from Sunnyvale Towing and Economy Tow were dispatched to remove the overturned vehicle and other damaged cars.
