Hwy 41, Ave 12 Crash Kills 1, Injures 1 in Madera County

Madera County, CA – In the early morning of Friday, February 21, 2025, a head-on collision on Highway 41 left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital, according to KSEE.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash occurred around 3 AM on Highway 41 just south of Avenue 12.

 Emergency responders arrived to find one person deceased at the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.

Traffic on Highway 41 was shut down in both directions between Valley Children’s Hospital and Avenue 12 for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause. The highway reopened just before 6 AM.

CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. No further details have been provided at this time.
