January 28, 2025, Salinas, CA: On Tuesday morning, a pedestrian tragically lost their life in a fatal accident in Salinas involving an ambulance.
The accident, according to information provided by KSBW, took place around 3:29 a.m. on Abbott Street just south of Harris Road. A 33-year-old was driving an American Medical Response ambulance headed south on Abbott when they struck a pedestrian trying to cross the street. The driver of the ambulance attempted to swerve but was unable to avoid the collision.
The pedestrian, identified as a 41-year-old woman, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of her injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
