November 10, 2024, Carmel by the Sea, CA: On Sunday morning, one person tragically lost their life in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Carmel by the Sea.
According to information provided by Kion 46 News Channel, the accident happened around 9:45 a.m. on Highway 1 near the area of Aguajito Road. Police confirmed that a black Honda was traveling north on Highway 1 when it was suddenly struck by a driver in a silver Nissan. This caused the Honda to veer off the side of the road, where it collided with a tree. Police say that the driver of the Nissan continued north and never stopped at the scene.
The driver of the Honda, identified as a 19-year-old female from North Carolina, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of her injuries.
Police are still searching for the driver involved in the collision. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
