November 10, 2024, Visalia, CA: One person was injured and arrests have been made following an accident into a home in Visalia on Sunday afternoon.
The accident, according to information provided by ABC30, took place around 2 p.m. at a home at the intersection of Sunnyside Avenue and Chinowth Street. Police confirmed that a driver was speeding in the area when they lost control of their vehicle, causing it to strike a fence and crash into a parked car in someone’s yard. The vehicle then slammed into a home across the street from the initial crash.
Police claim that the driver and passenger involved in the accident fled the scene after it happened. They were later found and arrested for felony DUI, hit-and-run, and outstanding warrant charges.
One person who was inside the house at the time sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
