October 29, 2024, Visalia, CA: A man was injured and another was arrested in a pedestrian accident that happened intentionally in Visalia on Tuesday evening.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the accident happened at the Visalia Lowe’s around 6:10 p.m. Police confirmed that a man was walking in the parking lot when he was intentionally struck by the driver of a vehicle. The driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene on foot but was arrested nearby.
The pedestrian, identified as a 51-year-old man, was rushed to a local hospital with injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
Police arrested the suspect, a 49-year-old man, under suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
No further details have been released at this time. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
