October 2, 2024, Visalia, CA: One person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that took place on a roadway in Visalia on Wednesday morning.
According to information provided by the Visalia Watchdog Facebook page, the accident happened at 12:10 a.m. on Court Street around the area of Myrtle Avenue. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle. The driver then fled the scene without checking on the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, who was not formally identified by police, sustained head injuries in the collision. The victim was rushed to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment.
Police found mirror parts that helped them identify the vehicle. They eventually found the driver involved in the accident, who was charged for their role.
