August 6, 2024, Avila Beach, CA: A man from Arroyo Grande was tragically killed in a fatal motorcycle crash at an intersection in Avila Beach on Tuesday evening.
According to information provided by KSBY, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Avila Beach Drive and 1st Street. At the time, a 58-year-old man was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling eastbound on Avila. He approached the intersection while a driver was making a left turn in a Chevrolet Silverado. The two collided with one another, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected.
The motorcyclist was rushed to Sierra Vista Hospital with traumatic injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead while there approximately 45 minutes after the collision.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
