There are long stretches of Lompoc roads that don’t have proper intersections and for that matter, safe crosswalks for those on foot. Pedestrians can be left to try to cross a street in front of careless and speeding drivers without the protection of a red light and a walk signal.
Without this safeguard, victims are more vulnerable to distracted drivers who aren’t paying attention to the road. Victims who are struck by hit-and-run motorists face even more risk. Pedestrians can be left in the roadway in the path of other unsuspecting drivers. They may also wait longer for critical medical attention until someone comes along and reports what happened.

Support for Victims and Families After a Lompoc Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Collision
After a pedestrian accident, victims and their families can receive enormous medical bills. Paychecks can also be lost when a patient is unable to make it to work. There is also the toll of physical pain and emotional trauma to consider.
To help with these costs, an at-fault driver’s car accident insurance provider should be called upon to pay for every expense victims and their families have paid and will pay.
If a hit-and-run driver is to blame and isn’t identified, it is still possible to earn compensation for the victim. A claim can be filed on the victim’s own car accident insurance or on a family member’s policy that covered the victim. This claim would utilize the policy’s uninsured motorist coverage to provide support for victims and their families through recovery.
