Intersection Accident Involving a Minivan and Pickup on Hwy 43 Near Shafter CA

Drivers on rural highways around Shafter can have a long straightaway in front of them, but when intersections pop up, the risk of accidents increases. Drivers required to stop can sometimes miss spotting a stop sign and enter a highway in the path of vehicles traveling full speed that have the right-of-way.

Vehicles on local highways can also be traveling at excessive speeds which can make accidents at intersections more likely and more devastating. Victims in collisions can suffer broken ankles and legs and chest and neck injuries. These are serious injuries that may leave victims with long recoveries ahead.

Insurance Compensation for Kern County Accident Victims

Accident victims must get the best medical attention available in order to have the best chance at a full recovery. It’s also key that victims aren’t left to worry about how they’ll pay for hospital bills from an accident they weren’t to blame for.

Filing an injury claim against an at-fault driver’s insurance company is vital to the physical and financial health of the victim and the victim’s family. Even a relatively minor injury can easily create over a thousand dollars in medical bills. There is also the possibility of further complications for the patient in the future and those estimated costs should factor into any settlement check.

These costs and others should be covered by a car accident settlement:

  • All current hospital bills and those expected in the future.
  • The lost income victims suffer while they are unable to work
  • Support for the physical pain victims are put through
  • Support for the emotional trauma victims suffer

Car insurance companies often don’t provide this full support unless it’s demanded. Talk over what your injury is worth and what you should be demanding with a local car accident lawyer.
