Rio Linda, CA — In the early hours of Friday, November 6, 2026, a passenger lost their life after a car collided with a big rig, according to KCRA
At approximately 2:30 AM, the California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal accident where West Elkhorn Boulevard and Marnice Road meet, in an industrial area near Elkhorn RV & Self Storage.
According to investigators, the car had a rear-end collision with a parked big rig, causing the passenger to experience fatal injuries. The driver involved in the crash reportedly fled.
Elkhorn Boulevard was closed temporarily to facilitate investigations.
