Turlock, CA — On the night of Friday, October 30, 2026, a 9-year-old child was injured in a collision with a truck while riding an electric motorcycle, according to KCRA, with additional details from FOX40.
The Turlock Police Department announced the accident, which took place at the intersection of Christoffersen Parkway and Crowell Road, on its Facebook page around 9:40 PM.
Emergency responders found that the child had sustained serious injuries in the crash and had been riding a small electric motorcycle, sometimes referred to as an “e-moto.” The child was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The driver of the truck involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Driver intoxication is not believed to have played a part in the collision.
Electric Motorcycle Accidents in Turlock and Personal Injury Claims
California law operates on the principle of comparative negligence, which allows responsibility for an accident to be shared among multiple parties. Liability is therefore not an all-or-nothing proposition, and injured parties can still seek compensation if their own negligence contributed to their injuries.
Even if the driver is not found fully at fault, the rider’s parents may be able to seek compensation on their child’s behalf through a personal injury claim. A personal injury claim can recover economic damages, such as medical expenses, as well as address non-economic damages, like pain and suffering.
