October 26, 2026, Lompoc, CA: An elderly man was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident on a Lompoc road on Monday night.
According to KSBY, the accident happened at 9:14 p.m. at 2000 North H Street. Police confirmed that a 96-year-old man was attempting to cross the street in the area near the airport when he was struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene until police arrived.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures but the pedestrian was badly injured. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced deceased while there. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
No further details have been released at this time, but the investigation into the accident continues.
