October 1, 2026, Los Angeles, CA: A hit-and-run accident that led to injuries took place on a major highway in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 2:38 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-405 around the area of Florence Avenue. Police confirmed that a vehicle was involved in an accident with three other vehicles in the area. The driver of the initial vehicle then fled the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties in the vehicles left behind sustained injuries in the accident. They were treated on scene and then hospitalized for further treatment.
No further details have been released. Police have not said if they found the driver responsible for the accident. Their investigation continues at this time.
