October 14, 2026, Stockton, CA: An accident involving a big rig and several other vehicles led to injuries on a Stockton highway on Wednesday morning.
According to KCRA, the accident happened at 5:34 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the area of Highway 12. Police confirmed that a big rig collided with several other vehicles, involving a pickup truck and three other vehicles. The big rig and several of the vehicles involved in the crash caught fire and suffered immense damage.
Police spoke with the big rig driver, who claimed a vehicle moved into his lane and he wasn’t able to stop in time, leading to the crash. His rig slid off the side of the road following the collision. He got out of his vehicle and immediately started assisting others involved in the collision.
Paramedics and several other emergency responders were called to the scene. Several of the involved parties sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
The road was blocked in the area for several hours until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
