Fresno, CA – In the early hours of Friday, September 11, 2026, a pedestrian collision resulted in a man losing his life on Highway 99, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 5:50 AM.
Authorities said the man attempted to cross the southbound lanes of Highway 99 on foot when he was struck by a passing 2017 Chevrolet SUV. The driver of the SUV called 911 immediately after the collision.
The man’s identity had not been released at the time of reporting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fresno-area CHP office. The investigation remains ongoing.
