Bakersfield, CA – On the evening of Friday, September 12, 2026, a hit-and-run left a 46-year-old woman with major injuries in the Foodmaxx parking lot, according to KGET.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 11:40 PM in the 6400 block of Niles Street, a commercial corridor in east Bakersfield home to several retail centers, including the Foodmaxx grocery store.
Authorities said an early or late model 1990s pickup truck struck the woman before fleeing the scene. She was transported to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
