El Dorado Hills, CA – On the evening of Saturday, September 12, 2026, a single-vehicle Tesla crash resulted in a fiery crash that killed three people and left one hospitalized, according to FOX40, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 10:38 PM near Serrano Parkway west of Terracina Drive, a residential area within the Serrano community of El Dorado Hills.
Authorities said a vehicle struck a tree and caught fire, with the occupants still inside as flames spread. El Dorado Hills Fire Department crews responded to the scene. Three people were pronounced dead, and the fourth was transported to a hospital for treatment. Fire officials identified the impact with the tree as the cause of the fire.
