Stockton Pedestrian Crashes and Wrongful Death Claims

Even though pedestrians are expected to yield when crossing outside a crosswalk, drivers still have a continuous responsibility to pay attention, keep an eye out for hazards, and drive safely enough to avoid hitting anyone. California Law operates under the principle of comparative negligence, which means fault is not an all-or-nothing proposition. Instead, responsibility can be split based on how much each person’s actions contributed to what happened.

A wrongful death claim can help loved ones cover funeral costs, make up for lost financial support, deal with the loss of companionship, and ease the heavy emotional weight left behind after a tragic accident.
