August 6, 2026, Visalia, CA: A pedestrian accident that led to injuries occurred at a Visalia intersection on Thursday night.
According to Visalia Watchdog, the accident happened at 8 p.m. in the westbound lanes of CA-198 near the area of Lovers Lane. Police confirmed that a man walked past the fence in the area, when he was struck by a passenger vehicle in the area. It is not known if the driver remained on scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian sustained major injuries in the accident. He was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
