Rio Linda, CA – On Friday, August 21, 2026, a two-vehicle collision resulted in the death of a man and left a woman with injuries, according to KCRA.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place in the 2000 block of Elkhorn Boulevard.
Authorities said the woman was driving westbound and lost control of her vehicle while attempting to pass other cars, crossing the center median and colliding with a sedan driven by the man. As a result of the impact, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
