San Francisco, CA – On the evening of Thursday, August 6, 2026, a vehicle rear-ended a Muni bus during rush hour, leaving two people hospitalized, according to KRON.
The San Francisco Fire Department reports that the accident took place around 5:30 PM near Divisadero and McAllister Streets.
Authorities said the vehicle struck the rear of a Muni 5R bus that was full of passengers. The driver of the vehicle became trapped inside with deployed airbags following the crash. Two people were transported to a hospital. Emergency crews cleared the scene following the response.
