Visalia, CA – On the evening of Saturday, July 25, 2026, a suspected DUI collision left a motorcyclist critically injured and led to the arrest of the driver of a Nissan SUV, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The Visalia Police Department reports that the accident took place around 9:45 PM at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Giddings Street.
Authorities said the driver of a dark-colored Nissan Pathfinder was traveling eastbound on Walnut Avenue and turned north into a Best Buy parking lot, putting the vehicle directly into the path of a motorcycle traveling westbound on Walnut Avenue. The motorcycle broadsided the SUV.
The rider was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The Visalia Police Department’s Traffic Unit is asking anyone with information on the collision to come forward. The investigation remains ongoing.
