Plumas County, CA – On the morning of Saturday, July 11, 2026, a boating collision resulted in the death of Sandra Ann Skender, 47, of Reno, Nevada, according to KCRA.
The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office reports that the accident took place near the Frenchman Lake Boat Launch.
Authorities said the collision involved a personal watercraft driven by Skender and a recreational boat. Skender was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
