Kristopher Payaslian, 50, Killed in Industrial Accident on Gateway Dr in Dixon

Dixon, CA – On the morning of Friday, May 29, 2026, a workplace incident resulted in the death of Kristopher Payaslian, 50, after he was pinned between an industrial garbage truck and a cinderblock wall, according to KCRA.

The Dixon Police Department reports that the incident took place around 8:53 AM in the 100 block of Gateway Drive.

Authorities said police and fire personnel responded to reports of an accident and arrived to find Payaslian pinned between the industrial garbage truck and the wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cal/OSHA responded and is conducting a separate investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The Dixon Police Department is also conducting its own investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Dixon Police Department. The investigation remains ongoing.
