Santa Rosa, CA – On the morning of Wednesday, June 3, 2026, a four-vehicle collision resulted in a fatality, according to KRON, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 7:55 AM on northbound Highway 101 south of the State Route 12 connector.
Authorities said the collision involved a white Ford pickup truck, a black Toyota sedan, a blue sedan, and a gray Subaru, with multiple vehicles blocking lanes two and three following the impact.
A Spanish interpreter was requested to assist with witness communication at the scene. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office was notified to respond in its capacity as coroner.
All northbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed, with traffic diverted onto State Route 12 while emergency personnel worked the scene. Caltrans responded with a cone truck to facilitate the traffic diversion.
Three evidence tows were requested for vehicles involved in the collision, including a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a construction box head and moderate front-end damage.
Tow trucks were permitted to use the center divide to access the scene due to traffic congestion. All northbound lanes were reopened at approximately 10:21 AM.
