Fresno, CA – On the evening of Saturday, May 23, 2026, a collision with a driver suspected of being under the influence left a motorcyclist hospitalized, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place just before 9:30 PM near Bond and Ashlan Avenues.
Authorities said the motorcyclist, believed to be in his 20s, was traveling eastbound on Ashlan Avenue when a vehicle on Bond Avenue attempted to make a left turn in front of him, and the two collided.
The rider was found on the ground, conscious but not fully responsive, and was transported to a local hospital. His condition was unknown at the time of reporting.
The driver of the vehicle, believed to be in his 50s, remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Officers asked drivers to avoid the area while the investigation continued. The investigation remains ongoing.
