Morgan Hill, CA – On the evening of Sunday, April 5, 2026, a vehicle-versus-scooter collision resulted in the death of an e-scooter rider, according to KRON.
The Morgan Hill Police Department reports that the accident took place around 8:00 PM in the 14000 block of Monterey Road.
Authorities said arriving officers and medical personnel found the rider suffering from major injuries and immediately began life-saving measures. Despite the efforts of first responders, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not determined whether alcohol or drug impairment was a factor in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
