Kings County, CA – On the evening of Wednesday, April 15, 2026, a collision between a Honda Civic and a big rig left the Honda’s driver hospitalized with major injuries, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 7:00 PM at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Houston Avenue in Hanford.
Authorities said the driver of a Honda Civic was traveling northbound on 2nd Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2018 Kenworth traveling eastbound on Houston Avenue.
The driver of the Honda Civic was transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries. The driver of the Kenworth was not reported to have sustained injuries.
The circumstances of the collision were being examined by investigators at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
