Turlock, CA – On the afternoon of Friday, March 6, 2026, a collision resulted in the death of Jose Blancas, 67, of Turlock, according to KCRA.
The Turlock Police Department reports that the accident took place around 3:45 PM in the 1300 block of South Washington Road near West Linwood Avenue.
Authorities said officers and Turlock Fire Department personnel arrived to find two vehicles with major damage. Blancas was found pinned inside his vehicle and was extricated by fire personnel, who attempted to render medical aid at the scene. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The occupants of the second vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The occupants of that vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
