Marina, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Walgreens store, according to KSBW.
Marina Police Department officers responded to reports of the collision at approximately 12:45 PM at the Walgreens located at 226 Reservation Road. The incident involved a vehicle traveling through the parking lot that struck a pedestrian and a parked vehicle.
Emergency medical personnel arrived within minutes of the report and provided medical aid at the scene as part of standard emergency response procedures. The injured pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
Police said the pedestrian later died at the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Renette Baker, 70, of Marina.
