January 2, 2025, Modesto, CA: Injuries were reported in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash at a Modesto intersection on Friday.
According to California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 5:34 p.m. at the intersection of Nunes Road and Golden State Boulevard. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they were struck by the driver of a vehicle. The driver immediately fled the scene after the accident.
Paramedics were called on-scene to assist the pedestrian. The injured party was taken to a local hospital for treatment, though their current condition is not yet known.
No further details have been released. Police did not say if the driver was found after the collision. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
