Sacramento, CA – On the morning of Friday, December 20, 2025, a woman was pronounced dead after being pinned by a vehicle in a parking garage at Downtown Commons, according to FOX40.
The Sacramento Police Department reports that officers were dispatched at approximately 5:45 AM to a parking structure in the 300 block of L Street following reports of a woman trapped between a vehicle and a ticket booth.
Upon arrival, officers located the woman pinned between the car and the structure. Sacramento Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and assessed the victim.
Despite emergency response efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released pending standard notification procedures.
According to Sacramento police, preliminary evidence suggests that the incident may have been accidental in nature.
As required in fatal incidents, the Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigations Unit assumed responsibility for the case. Investigators conducted a detailed examination of the scene, documented physical evidence, and reviewed the circumstances surrounding the incident.
