Stockton, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, November 30, 2025, a two-vehicle collision claimed the lives of a 1-year-old child and two adults, according to ABC10.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 4:20 PM at the intersection of Sanguinetti Lane and Wilson Way.
CHP’s preliminary investigation indicates that the Ford, carrying the child, the driver, and a right front passenger, was traveling east on Wilson Way when the driver allegedly failed to stop for a red light. The vehicle entered the intersection and was broadsided on the driver’s side by a southbound Acura crossing Sanguinetti Lane.
The impact caused the Ford to continue in a southwesterly direction before striking a light pole. The right front passenger of the Ford was ejected during the crash.
The driver and the right front passenger of the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene. The 1-year-old was transported to a hospital but later died from their injuries. Occupants of the Acura sustained minor injuries.
Both authorities and CHP Fatal noted that it is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances and is urging anyone with information to contact the Stockton Office.
Failure to Yield
In California, as in other states, “failure to yield” means that you didn’t give the right of way to the right person at the right time. As such, failure to yield or stop is closely related to the “right of way.” When a motorist fails to yield, stop, or otherwise avoid an accident and causes a crash, he or she can be held liable for injuries and damages suffered by a victim.
Wrongful Death Claims
Losing a loved one in a traffic accident is devastating, and the pain can be made worse by the financial strain that often follows. Medical bills, funeral costs, and the loss of income to support dependents of the deceased can leave families struggling. Filing a Wrongful Death claim against those responsible can provide compensation to help with these expenses.
