December 4, 2025, Paso Robles, CA: On Thursday morning, a box truck accident took the life of one victim on a highway in Paso Robles.
According to KSBY, the accident took place at 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Golden Hill Road and Highway 46. Police confirmed that a 63-year-old man was driving his Lexus sedan and was stopped at a red light. His vehicle was suddenly struck from behind by a driver in a box truck. The driver failed to slow down in time, leading to the accident.
The driver of the Lexus was tragically pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the box truck, identified as a 25-year-old man from Bakersfield, was not injured. He was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter following the collision.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
