Lodi, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, December 17, 2025, a vehicle crashed into a Starbucks, resulting in a 56-year-old man being hospitalized and a 15-year-old sustaining minor injuries, according to FOX40.

The Lodi Police Department reports that the accident took place around 3:06 PM on the Reynolds Ranch Parkway.

Authorities said a 32-year-old man had parked his vehicle in the lot while picking up an order when he accidentally pressed the accelerator. Police stated that the vehicle jumped the curb and crashed through the glass wall of the business, entering the store area.

A 56-year-old customer inside the Starbucks was struck and sustained visible cuts, according to police. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital for further medical treatment as a precautionary measure.

Police said the vehicle also struck store furniture, which then hit a 15-year-old inside the business. The minor was treated at the scene and reportedly did not require hospital transport.

Investigators determined that drugs or alcohol were not contributing factors in the crash. Authorities cited the driver for violations related to the incident, and police confirmed that no other injuries were reported as the investigation concluded.
