Gonzales, CA – On the morning of Friday, November 14, 2025, a three-vehicle collision resulted in multiple people suffering injuries, according to KSBW.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place at the Old Stage Road overcrossing.
Authorities said the crash began when a man driving a Kia sedan northbound on the overcrossing ran a stop sign and appeared to have illegally passed an MST Rides bus, crossing into the southbound lane.
The Kia then collided head-on with a GMC pickup truck carrying two juveniles and a woman who was driving. The force of the impact caused the sedan to spin out and strike the MST bus.
CHP noted that the woman driving the GMC suffered moderate injuries, while a passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries; both were taken to a hospital for treatment. The man driving the Kia and a female passenger in the sedan sustained major injuries and were also transported for medical care.
The MST bus had 10 passengers headed to La Casa Adult Day Health Center in Salinas. MST officials said none of the bus passengers or its driver reported serious injuries, and the bus was instructed to return riders to their homes.
The incident remains under investigation, and CHP indicated that alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
Personal Injury Claims
When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a Personal Injury Claim with the at-fault party’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
Passenger Liability
Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming. As a neutral third party, an experienced personal injury attorney can help navigate these emotional complexities.
