Twin Bridges, CA – On the evening of Sunday, November 23, 2025, a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of one passenger, according to KCRA, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 7:17 PM near Highway 50 at the Camp Sacramento area.

Authorities said a truck hauling a trailer appeared to be traveling at an unsafe speed as it approached a curve. Evidence indicates the truck tipped over during the turn and fell onto an SUV traveling in the opposite direction, causing fatal injuries to the passenger inside the SUV.

CHP incident logs noted debris blocking both directions of the highway. Crews worked for hours to manage the roadway closure as emergency responders, tow operators, and Caltrans coordinated recovery operations and evidence tows for the vehicles involved.

The highway remained blocked for an extended period, and officials allowed one-way traffic only after significant clearing efforts. CHP said the roadway continued to be affected into the early morning as specialized tow equipment was brought in to handle the overturned truck, trailer, and damaged vehicles.

Investigators are continuing to examine evidence to determine what factors may have caused the collision.
