Sacramento, CA – On the night of Wednesday, November 19, 2025, a hit-and-run collision killed a pedestrian at a busy intersection in south Sacramento, according to The Sacramento Bee.

The Sacramento Police Department reports that the crash occurred just before 9:15 PM near the intersection of Fruitridge Road and Power Inn Road. 

Responding officers and Sacramento Fire Department personnel located an unidentified man who had suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Investigators with the Major Collision Investigations Unit and Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to document evidence and begin the process of reconstructing the sequence of events. Authorities said the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the 41-year-old man’s name once his family has been notified.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have information that could help identify the driver to contact the department.
