Santa Rosa, CA – On the afternoon of Monday, June 2, 2025, a collision involving a minivan and a pickup truck left three young boys and their father with major injuries, according to KRON.
The Santa Rosa Police Department reports that the accident took place around 2:37 PM on West Third Street.
Investigators said 45-year-old Timothy Norman was driving a red Honda Odyssey minivan carrying his three sons, ages 5, 11, and 12, when it appeared that he may have attempted to pass a City of Santa Rosa Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by a city employee. The minivan struck the truck’s rear left side before crashing into two trees in the center median.
Norman and his three sons suffered major injuries and were transported to a trauma center for treatment, while the city employee was uninjured.
Following a months-long investigation, police arrested Norman on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, after toxicology results confirmed the presence of drugs in his system at the time of the crash.
He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on charges of felony driving under the influence of drugs causing injury and three counts of felony child endangerment with injury.
