Bakersfield, CA – On the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025, a collision on northbound Interstate 5 left a 61-year-old man dead and led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Wasco resident for suspected DUI, according to KBAK.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the crash took place around 11:10 PM on northbound Interstate 5, north of Templin Highway, in Los Angeles County.
Authorities said the driver of a white Jeep Cherokee, a 61-year-old man, was ejected from his vehicle during the collision and died at the scene from his injuries.

Authorities emphasized the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash and urged anyone with information to contact the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.
