Alta, CA – On the afternoon of Friday, November 7, 2025, a big rig collision involving an Amazon truck left several people with major injuries, according to ABC10.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 1:00 PM near Baxter along westbound Interstate 80 in Placer County.
Authorities said the crash involved multiple big rigs, resulting in serious injuries to those at the scene. Officials have not released the number of victims but confirmed that at least some of the individuals involved suffered major injuries.
Eastbound lanes of I-80 and one westbound lane remained open to allow limited traffic flow as recovery and cleanup efforts continued.
Investigators have not yet released details about the cause of the crash or the events leading up to the multiple-vehicle impact.
Amazon, which confirmed awareness of the incident, stated through a company spokesperson that it was looking into the situation and expressed sympathy for those hurt in the collision.
Personal Injury Claims
After a traffic accident, victims and their families often deal with unexpected financial burdens, such as medical bills, lost income, and, in the worst cases, burial costs. A Personal Injury Claim allows accident victims to hold the at-fault party financially responsible for their costs of care.
