Berkeley, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, November 15, 2025, a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle claimed the life of a bicyclist in his 60s, according to KRON.

The Berkeley Police Department reports that the accident took place near Telegraph Avenue and Haste Street.

Authorities said the cyclist had been riding southbound on Telegraph Avenue when a northbound vehicle struck him. Emergency crews transported the man to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries. 

Due to the severity of the crash and the need to secure the scene, police closed multiple blocks to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including Telegraph Avenue between Haste Street and Dwight Way and Haste Street between Bowditch Avenue and Dana Street.

Officials said the driver involved remained at the location and cooperated with the investigation. Police continued examining the intersection and surrounding areas to determine what factors may have contributed to the fatal collision.
