October 29, 2025, Lompoc, CA: On Wednesday afternoon, a truck accident on a highway in Lompoc led to injuries in three individuals.
According to KSBY, the collision happened around 2 p.m. on Highway 1 near the area of the Vandenberg Space Force Base. Police confirmed that a truck with a trailer and a passenger vehicle collided in the southbound lanes due to reasons that remain under investigation. The truck with its trailer became engulfed in flames.
Two people inside the truck sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital by ambulance. The driver in the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries and was not hospitalized.
Debris was left across the highway in the area, which shut down all southbound lanes for some time.
