Sacramento, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, a collision between a school bus and a pickup truck left nine people injured, according to KCRA.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 2:50 PM on the 3900 block of Belden Street in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood.
Investigators said a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided with a Sacramento-area school bus before crashing into a nearby shed. Home surveillance footage captured the moment of impact, showing the front of the bus striking the truck. Several individuals were then seen climbing out of the truck’s cab and bed immediately after the crash.
Authorities confirmed that nine people were hurt in total, including two on the school bus and seven in the truck. The truck’s driver and six passengers were all juveniles. Emergency personnel at the scene treated multiple victims for injuries before transporting several to local hospitals.
Officials from the Twin Rivers Unified School District said the bus was carrying five special needs students from Grant Union High School. As a precaution, one student and the bus driver were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The remaining students were assessed by a doctor at the scene and later taken home on another bus provided by the district.
Witnesses described the intersection as dangerous and expressed concern about frequent speeding and drivers ignoring stop signs in the area. The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol and Sacramento Fire Department.
