Sacramento, CA – On the night of Thursday, August 21, 2025, a two-car crash near Southside Park in Sacramento left two people hospitalized, according to KCRA.

The collision took place shortly before midnight at the intersection of Ninth Street and T Street. 

Officers arrived quickly after receiving reports of the crash and found two individuals suffering injuries at the scene. Emergency medical personnel transported both people to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Doctors listed one of the victims in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The second injured person also received medical attention, although officials have not released information about that person’s current condition.

Detectives with the Major Collision Investigation Unit, along with crime scene investigators, examined the area late into the night. Investigators said they believe alcohol or drugs may have played a role in causing the crash.

The Sacramento Police Department continues to investigate the collision to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
