Madera, CA – On the evening of Saturday, July 27, 2025, a motorcycle collision resulted in fatal injuries to a man in his 60s, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 8:40 PM near the intersection of Fairmead Boulevard and Gordon Street.
Authorities say the man, a resident of Fowler, was operating a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle and traveling southbound on Fairmead Boulevard. Ahead of him, a woman from Chowchilla was driving a 2008 GMC Yukon with her two children, a 10-year-old and an 8-month-old.
As the GMC began making a left turn into a private driveway, the motorcyclist attempted to pass the SUV on its left side, resulting in a collision. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from his vehicle. Although he was wearing a helmet, he sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist died from his injuries on Thursday. His identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the GMC and her children were not injured in the crash. No other vehicles were involved. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
