Alameda County, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a head-on collision resulted in fatal injuries to Ryan Joshua Aquino Amigable, 21, according to KRON, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 6:19 PM near Highway 84 and Livermore Avenue.

Authorities state that Amigable, a resident of Oakley, was driving a Honda sedan when a Lexus traveling in the opposite direction lost control and crashed into his vehicle. The impact left Amigable pinned inside his car, preventing bystanders from rendering aid. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Amigable succumbed to his injuries at the site.

The crash caused an extended closure of Highway 84 while investigators documented the scene and cleared debris. No details have been released regarding the driver of the Lexus, including whether drugs, alcohol, or speed were suspected factors.

Amigable was reportedly returning home from work at the time of the collision. His family has since launched a GoFundMe campaign to support funeral costs and related expenses. 

He is survived by his mother, father, stepfather, stepmother, six younger siblings, and grandparents.
